Dean and Jonathan went fishing and made it home in time to a deep freeze that had been opened since yesterday.....oooppps must have been when I got Ava her pop sickle out! Oh my goodness I feel terrible so much food was in there! Clean clean clean poor Dean.
Then we headed over to the Barnes' to celebrate Brooke's 3rd birthday! They had a pool and a jump jump set up so needless to say Ava had a blast! She couldn't decide if she wanted to swim or jump more so back and forth we went!
Home in time for Church! Our new series is so good!(Developing your roots with the Lord)
Back home, late dinner,bath,play,play,play and she's out 11ish!

Brandy and I loaded the kids up jumped in the over sized Camry(LOL) and hit the beach!
We went strolling on the seawall so the babies could see all the crazy birds and just have a change of scenery.
Then we went over to Moody Gardens for a little lunch at the park. Well that turned into attack of the mosquito's! So our nice bay view lunch turned into a lunch inside moody gardens. That's OK we still had a great time and can't wait for Palm beach to open I see a lot of time being spent there this summer! They have re done a lot of it so there is more childrens play area now.
As mentioned in previous blogs Dean brought home Ava a very large box turtle! After having the angry little fellow for a few days we decided he wasn't the best pet for our family! Sorry 007!
I loaded up Ava, Nicholas,Molli,the camera of course and 007 and headed to our church.When the church was being built they made a decent size hill put a cross on top and named it Prayer Mountain. Because of our substantial amount of rain we have received Prayer Mountain now looks like Prayer Island. What better place to release little mean hissing 007! Good luck buddy you are way too angry for our happy little family! I do not like negative energy in my home!Especially when I was feeding him fresh fruit and clean water daily!
I feel like a turtle momma fail er but some times you just have to let go!
Despite Ava's nasty three day fever she conquered it and bounced back like a champ! Fortunately she never had any of the other nasty symptoms to deal with ...runny nose, cough, watery eyes,!Tuesday she was back to normal and having fun hanging out with Nicholas.
Ava enjoys playing with her play-doh a lot these days so I saw on Jon and Kate+8 that she made peanut butter play-doh so I decided to try it for the kiddos.
2c creamy peanut butter
2c powdered milk
1/4c honey
dust with flour
simple enough it turned out great! Ava liked it but I don't think she was as interested as real play-doh because if the lack of color?? She likes to keep her "real" play-doh colors ALL separated. So this was no challenge of color grouping for her maybe?
Nicholas on the other hand was real excited!!!He was thinking YES she just threw me down a big ol blob of dessert!(He is still a little to young for play-doh)
Ava and 007...why the name? Dean said the Turtle is like James bond trying to escape! LOL He is so funny!
Over the weekend of April 24Th-26Th
I'm not too sure if it was the skinny dipping backyard fun for Ava or what, but my poor love bug started to run a fairly high fever(102.7) on Friday afternoon.Needless to say we had a very low key and relaxing weekend!
Saturday I took Ava to the Dr. and they tested her for strep-throat...fortunately it came back negative.The culprit is a viral infection in her throat,so were letting it runs it's course.
When she woke from her very long nap on Saturday she was ready to play....she got a bright idea to pretend she was George of the Jungle and hang from the living room curtain's,next thing I know out comes the rod and Ava has the face of OOPS. Dean fixed the curtain's and rod...lets hope she doesn't do that again! The fun with a busy toddler!
Sunday Dean and Uncle Ricky went to the land and Dean returned with a surprise for Ava. He found a "real" box turtle. She thinks the turtle it is pretty neat-o.

What a BEAUTIFUL day! I got out Ava's little mini pool so she could swim! Of course she loved that! Poor Nicholas is a little under the weather so he had to just hang back with me & watch Ava. Sorry Nicholas =( Hopefully next week you can splash around too!
I'm so excited I'm finally getting some color on my pasty legs!

In Loving Memory of Champ Stevens. May you rest in peace little Beta. You will be missed. Was it the abundant amount of food Ava and I gave you? Was it the clean bowl? Was it the over chlorinated Manvel water? Maybe the Flash photography? We will never know but your memory will live on.

Ava had her 18 month check-up today! All is good!
Height: 34.5 inches = 95%
Weight: 25lbs = 70%
Tall and Lean like her Momma....haha(I wish) nah like her Daddy!
We stopped by to see Rachel after her Dr.visit and she had a fun Easter surprise for Ava! A big pink pail full of goodies! Thank-you Rachel! For all your Love you give to Ava and I! We love you!
Home for a nap for Ava. Momma is going to go soak up some of this great sunshine!

This morning I was cleaning out our Beta(CHAMPS)tank,well we have a little turtle that hangs out with Champ,I set the turtle by Ava to see what she would do. I'm so glad I got this on video. I think it is hilarious! Her face is priceless when she realizes it's not real.If you watch closely she even has a sigh of relieve.

Houston's nasty nasty weather had me on the verge of backing out of Disney on Ice.
Well I'm so glad I didn't!(Thank-you Brandy) The storm clouds dissipated, Ava was well rested had a full belly, we were packed and at Reliant Stadium before we knew it. Not a drop of rain got us!
Ava and Nicholas had such a great time! Our seats were front and center! (Thank-you Brandy)The babies were mesmerized by all the bright lights,fun music and best of all amazing ice skaters! The cotton candy was great too!
We had a ball! Ava made sure to say HI to all the performers with much enthusiasm!
Nicholas clapped and danced on his Mommas lap to his choice songs! Looks like he may be an Elvis fan!
Thank-you again Brandy we had a blast!
Tonight Ava started her gymnastics class! Yeah it was so fun! There were three other little girls in her class. Ava is the youngest of the group the others are 2 and 2 1/2 but she really held her own. We defiantly need to work on waiting your turn and staying seated when the teacher is working with another student....wish me luck.
Ava really loved the trampoline of course and flipping over the bar. The funniest was at the end of the trampoline is a large foam pit,well it was Ava's turn to jump jump which she does very well,next thing we know Ava is jumping/running very fast down the trampoline and runs off the edge into the foam pit....I laughed she did too then says with her hands in the air up up jump jump....she was ready to go at it again!
At the end of class they give them a stamp and a coloring picture! We had fun and can't wait to go again!

Ava keeps me on my toes! That girl is a busy body!
Today I was in my bathroom getting ready...Ava was real quiet so I went to check on her. She had gotten a full box of wipes down and pulled almost all of them out! Her baby doll was on the changing table so I'm assuming she was preparing for a real dozier of a diaper! As I was picking up the wipes mess she had ventured into my bathroom where I had my make-up out and made her self a spot on my stool,dipped my powder brush into my full container of powder and correctly but liberally applied it to her face and everything else! You just have to laugh at these messy moments!
